1320 is Back in Business

Last week we decided to have a party to kick off the new school. Last semester we planned out a "Will Ferrell" where everyone dresses up as their fav Will Ferrell character. It fell through, so we just decided to use that theme.

It was a busy day! Party prep is always the worst, but the party always makes up for it!

1st: Costco run to get some food for the party. We may have even treated ourselves to some Costco pizza.

2nd: Trip to Best Buy and Walmart while Steph wrote her talk.

3rd: Got rid of some nasty boxes in our backyard.

4th: Trip to Ace Hardware store to buy some work gloves and our fave sodas.

5th: Pulled the huge weeds. We have neglected to tell our landlord, so we had to do it so people could mingle outside during the party.

The weeds decided to get all artsy.

6th: Shower.

7th: Trip to Goodwill to find costume.

8th: Safeway to get stuff for roommate Sunday dinner (it is my turn this week).

9th: Get ourselves ready, prep the food, finalize the playlist, and get some games ready.

GET THE PARTY STARTED.

Syd was good about taking everyone's picture that was dressed up. I will spare you a million pictures though. Refer to Syd's if you want to see all the costumes and a description of who they are. She summarized the whole night very well actually.

The night consisted of games (while people were arriving), dancing, prizes for best costume, karaoke, and more dancing.

We are the party masters. We move one couch to our backyard for people who don't care to dance and just want to socialize. The kitchen has food and more space to socialize and then our main room is for the dancing peeps.

Now I am going to flood you with pictures.

Our costume is based on the movie Step Brothers.

Outside party rockers.

Olivia is a brave and crazy soul.

Everyone left at a reasonable hour, and didn't leave too much of a mess. Somehow I still stayed up til 3 though.

We had church today at 9 and we all made it! Steph gave her talk and rocked it! She had everyone laughing and engaged.

Ps, I woke up sore today. That is always a good indicator of a good party.
