Some happenings..
1. I have been feeling "off" so I decided to be better about my temple attendance and institute. Cariann already was attending institute at ASU every Wednesday so I just tagged along. The first class I had a wonderful surprise when I walked in- MADDY TRUMAN WAS IN THE CLASS. We spent the whole "social hour" after catching up. Love her. She may be my motivation every week.
We tried to attend week 2 but every class was full. So instead we walked to the cutest restaurant to get Macy some food. Then made it back just in time for the "social" and ice cream. Very intentionally planned.
2. Nate had a Cross Country meet at Mesa Riverview and he rocked it!!! He was in front the whole time (with all those varsity boys). He had quite the fan club too (we of course came quipped with Soda Shop and all).
DJ caught us taking pictures....
3. I finally caved and signed up for a gym membership. My friend Olivia convinced me to sign up for her gym so we can work out together after work. At the start of the week, she taught me how to use the weights and do "chest day". The end of the week, we did an intense "leg day". Legs are my strong suit (compared to my weak arms), so I was excited but it certainly kicked my trash! I was so sore.
4. The Gilbert Stake was asked to clean the Gilbert Temple again and I gladly volunteered. Also in part because Cariann was going. I got to vacuum the sealing rooms and it was the best thing ever. Worth staying up til 1.
5. Since BEFORE summer, we have been trying to take a day trip to Sedona. Well we finally made it happen. A lot of people wanted to come until they found out it was a little bit of a drive (lame-os). We ended up having a good sized group. We weren't entirely sure what trail we wanted til we got there. Colten saw a picture with a cool creek. So we went over that way and made our own trail. We ended up climbing and avoiding cactuses a whole lot.
As we are almost to the end, Colten shouts that we have hit a little cliff. A second later we hear Paige fall. Then shout "I'm okay". This happened 3 times. Of course the first time I was so nervous because all I knew was that it was "a cliff". So glad she was okay with literally zero scratches.
Colten being the adventurous person he is brought a rope. I tried to climb down as far as I could and then eventually gave in.
We all repelled down without actually be strapped it. It was quite the adventure. Colten watched us all do it, and then climbed down without the rope. He's so good.
Once we got into town, the girls hit up Flancers. Cariann had to try their Prickly Pear sandwich after paige tried to eat actual prickly pear (as you can imagine didn't work out so great for Paige).
It was a 11/10 day and much needed adventure.
6. MY GIRL SYD GOT MARRIED!!!!!!!
I was seriously looking forward to the wedding weekend all week! Which means something because I don't necessarily like weddings (it sounds awful but they are typically so boring). But since it was a richardson, and specifically Syd, I knew it was going to be an actual party!
Leading up to it, I got my nails done with Al (she got hers done for homecoming). Had to look good for all the pictures, right??
Friday was the "rehearsal dinner". It was the most fun rehearsal dinner ever. They taught us the hustle, had the sweetest "speeches" (tears were shed), songs sung from every table, introductions, and competitions. Not to mention Cafe Rio AND a soda bar! I asked both Syd and Zach how they were feeling and both were just beaming. Could not handle the excitement. They are literal goals. They reminded me it's worth the wait for a good guy.
Saturday.
Syd invited us all to come over and get ready with her. I was hungry so I brought Jamba juice for all.
The sealing was absolutely beautiful and tender. Once again, tears were shed. It was LOVELY. And once again, literal goals. Syd and Zach have such a sweet and perfect relationship together.
After the sealing was of course pictures. Steph and I were the unofficial bosses and kept everyone in line (people are not good at listening for their turn).
The pictures were too fun. Syd was all about making the whole day a party.

After pictures, Steph and I hit up "Salad and Go" plus McDonalds for our soda.
Then we helped set up the venue.
It was kind of hard to help because none of us really knew where to put what.
It all came together though.
Shortly after, we went to a cute orchard for more bridal pictures.
I'm excited to see how they turn out.
Steph and I then ran to Syd's to get her birth control AND to pick up my car.
On our way back, we of course had to stop at Circle K.
Once we got back to the venue it was time to start.
Dr Jay Rich introduced the wedding party/bride-groom. It was cute and fun!
We also got to sit at the head table with the bride and groom. I loved how she broke the normal mormon trends.
Her dance party was of course poppin. The most people on the dance floor ever, as expected.
I'm glad Syd changed it up because it was SO FUN.
Also congrats to Syd and Zach!!!
They deserve the best/happiest life ever.
