Friday

My mother took the young women up to our cabin, so it was just Nathan, my dad and I at home. The boys went to amazing jakes while I was working. Then when I got home, I went out for the night. Landon invited me to go see "The Edge of Tomorrow" with some people. Once again, it was a late movie, but I had my Dr Pepper, so all was well. Plus the movie was really good! I highly recommend it, good humor, clean and some action. After the movie, we joked about staying up til 4, watching One Tree Hill, but I had to get up at 4:30 the following morning, so we called it a night.

Unfortunately, I couldn't sleep (probably all the DP and the thrill of the movie), and soon enough 4 hit. I knew sleeping for a half hour would make me feel worse when I woke up, so instead I just stayed awake practicing my spanish. I have a confession. The boys I hang out with all served in South America, so they always speak in Spanish. I am always so curious about what they are saying. So I downloaded an app that is teaching me a little bit. Of course I won't ever understand it all, but I am learning!

Saturday

Like I said my day started at an extremely early hour.

It was pitch black outside when we left. I took this picture because Nate was just reaping in UA pride.

Anyway, the reason we were up that early was for a lake trip. A family friend, Keith Bloomfield, was taking his boat out. He went super early because he had a baptism to attend at 10, so we had to be back early. Well anyway, Keith works with Payson, my BIL (Brother in law), so he invited Morgan and Payson. Keith's younger brother (who is my age), Kent was in town, so he invited him. Then Kent invited me. Somehow Nathan got into the mix as well. Anyway, we all hit up the lake. We started with wake boarding.

Kent started us off.

Then Payson made us all look like amateurs

Don't mind my oversized life vest.

It was Morgan's first time but she got up!

Nate didn't want to go, so he started us off on the tubing.

Soon enough, we all joined him.

I'd say I got beat up the most out of the group. They loved going off on my side of the wake, and boy did I fly. It is so fun though and being sore the next day just tops it off!

After awhile of tubing, Keith had to go, but he let us stay out. So we got the wake board back out and Nathan tried it! HE GOT UP TOO!!!! I was so impressed! Benefit of being the youngest-they are good at observing and learning.

Morgan being happy to be our flag girl.

Around 12, we finally left the lake. My tiredness was hitting me, so I was ready to go.

Unfortunately, I only slept an hour and a half, then I was off to work with Jayne. I have no idea how I stayed awake. I was counting down til 8 (when she goes to sleep), but she didn't crash til 9.

Her family finally got home at 11 from their long trip back East. When I got home, I had to pack for Utah, and then help Alie decide what to wear. I was a grouch. Finally by 1, I crawled into bed.

Sunday

I woke up at 8:40 to go to a 9 o clock ward. We stayed for the sacrament, and then headed off to Utah. Dj was already up in Utah, so it was just mom, Alie, Nate and me. My dad never lets any of us drive, but since he wasn't there, I got to drive on the fun, windy part. It was fun driving because you get to really take in the nature. Utah is a beautiful drive. Nothing like my straight, desert drive to Tucson.

After we unpacked and settled in to my grandparent's house, Alie and I discovered my mom's iPad has unlimited data. You know what that means. :) One Tree Hill. So we ended the night with watching a few episodes.

Monday

It was the day of my cousin, Mikell's bridal shower. We thought it was Tuesday, but turned out, my mom read the invitation wrong. Good thing we left Sunday instead of Monday like we originally planned.

We spent the day lounging in the morning, getting groceries and then we went to Target to buy a gift for the shower. Nathan also bought some school supplies and I got a new backpack. So I guess you could say it was a successful trip. As soon as we got home, we had to pick up grandma, and drive over to the shower.

Her Fiancé, Jordan stayed so I got to talk to him for a bit. I met him at Morgan's wedding, but it was pretty brief, so it was fun to actually chat.

The food was delicious and they had sweet tooth fairy cupcakes. I was heaven and ate way too much!

After she opened the gifts, I finally got a chance to talk to Mikell, and FINALLY hear how he proposed. They are a cute couple and will have such a fun marriage! I'm so excited for them!

Once we got home, us kids played a round of rage. I think Alie won, but I don't' really remember.

Alie and I stayed up a bit too late watching One Tree Hill. Plus sneaking upstairs to the kitchen (we had the basement to ourselves) so we could get more fat.

Tuesday

We basically spent the day shopping. First we went to Ross for the boys. Neither of them found too much unfortunately. Next Mom dropped Alie and I off at City Creek in Salt Lake. On the drive over to Salt Lake, we had a little discussion on the youngest vs oldest sibling perks. Some were laughing so hard they were crying. It's a real thing though. The youngest are always so spoiled and get away with everything.

Back to topic, I love city creek. The H and M, and Forever 21 are huge! We both found and spent more than we probably should have! I have no regrets though.

When we got back, we ate dinner, while grandpa told us some stories. He works in the temple, so he is BFFs with Pres Monson, and was close with Pres Hinckley. It was fun to learn more about them. Plus my grandpa has a great sense of humor.

Wednesday

The kids went to Lagoon but I didn't feel like going. I didn't bring my swimsuit, so I couldn't go in the water park anyway. So I decided to stay home. I'm actually glad I did. I spent the afternoon watching "The Little House on the Prairie" while talking to grandma about her experiences growing up on a farm. I learned a lot about her that I would have never known if I didn't stay home. We see our Stahle grandparents once or twice a year, but we always overwhelm them by all of us staying in their house. She is great at one on one though and instigated most of the conversation. I also learned where I got my sassy and stubborn personality.
